When I was out living in sin, I thought I knew everything there was to know about everything. and I thought I would live forever. Then it happened one day that one of my best friends shot himself in the head, and he died that same day. I didn't know what to think or how to feel. At that time, I started  to think about my life, what was going to happen to me, and where I would be when I left this world. That was when  I  knew somebody was praying for me. My son would ask me to go to church to hear him sing a song, my daughter would ask me to go with her, then my wife would ask me when I was planning to go to church. I would go to work and brother Rick would ask me to go to church with him. One Sunday night, I went to church with my family . I had a good time,  so I went again the next Sunday and  had a good time. I heard good singing and good preaching, but the next Sunday I didn't go. I stayed home, and I knew one thing, somebody was praying for me because I couldn't think about anything but the Lord. I knew I was lost and undone without God. I thought I had gone to far for God to save me. I went back to church the next Sunday night.  The preacher started preaching and said, "whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." I said," to myself, that sounds like me,"  so when the preacher gave the alter call that night, I got up, went to the alter, called upon the Lord, God,  and said," I am lost and undone and headed for a devil's Hell. I am asking you, Lord ,to forgive me and to save me. I will  do the best I can to serve you and I ask it in Jesus name , Amen." That night I was saved from that place that is called Hell and I know I am  on my way to Heaven. My name is written down in the Lamb's book of Life. praise The Lord And Thank You Jesus. I Love You. IT WAS IN MAY OF 1970,MY SISTER HAD ASKED ME MANY TIMES TO GO TO CHURCH WITH HER AND I HAD ALWAYS REFUSED. NEVER HAD ANY INTEREST IN CHURCH AT ALL. THINGS CHANGED AFTER I HEARD BILLY GRAHAM PREACH A SERMON THAT TOLD ME IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT I WAS LOST AND NEEDED A SAVIOR. HE MUST HAVE CONVINCED ME OF THAT NEED BECAUSE THE NEXT TIME MARY ASKED ME TO GO TO CHURCH WITH HER, I WAS READY. AFTER BROTHER JOHN FRAME PREACHED HIS REVIVAL SERMON, I HEADED FOR THE ALTAR. I REALLY BELIEVED I WAS SAVED BEFORE I GOT THERE. WHENEVER YOU ACCEPT JESUS' TERMS HE WILL SAVE YOU WHEREVER YOU ARE. THAT WAS ABOUT 36 YEARS AGO AND I HAVE NEVER FELT THE NEED TO GO BACK INTO THE WORLD. I THANK GOD THAT HE GAVE ME ADDISON CHURCH AND THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO WORSHIP THERE. I HAVE BEEN TRULY BLESSED WITH HEARING THE WORD PREACHED, TAUGHT, SUNG AND LIVED IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE PLACED ALL MY FAITH IN THE LORD AND KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT HE WILL NEVER LET ME DOWN. HE HAS BROUGHT ME THROUGH PHYSICAL PROBLEMS TIME AFTER TIME. HE HAS PROTECTED ME FROM HARM TIME AFTER TIME. HE LETS ME KNOW THAT HE IS ALWAYS NEAR AND I HAVE NOTHING TO EVER BE AFRAID OF. I LOVE MY CHURCH, MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS IN CHURCH, ALL MY NATURAL FAMILY AND ALL MY FRIENDS AND ALL THE PEOPLE I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE TO HAVE WORKED WITH SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER. I HAVE BEEN MARRIED 40 YEARS TO A WONDERFUL MAN AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MANY MORE YEARS OF THE SAME. I AM SO PROUD OF MY CHILDREN. ALL OF THEM HAVE A GOOD HEART AND LOVE EACH OTHER. MY GRANDCHILDREN ARE GREAT. THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT, THEY ARE TALENTED AND SMART AND SO LOVING. MY SISTER IS MY BEST FRIEND AND THE ONE WHO GOT ME IN CHURCH IN THE FIRST PLACE. MY DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW ARE THE BEST WIVES AND MOTHERS ANYONE COULD ASK FOR. I COULD GO ON AND ON ALL NIGHT AND STILL NOT EVEN SCRATCH THE SURFACE OF HOW GOOD GOD IS TO ME. I THANK HIM AND PRAISE HIM BECAUSE HE IS WORTHY. MY GREATEST WISH IS TO SEE OUR CHURCH GROW AND GROW AND TO BE WITH YOU ALL IN HEAVEN WHEN THIS LIFE IS OVER. GIVE YOUR HEART TO GOD NOW. DON'T WAIT. IT IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

I am so glad that I belong to the family of God. Many years ago He put a desire in my heart to find a church to attend with my small children. The first church I went to there was no altar call. The second one I met Jesus and was saved. the journey through this life has not  always been easy  with many hard places in the way . There were happy times too that made it all worth while.. I  would never turn back. God has been so good to me and always available if my need is big or small. He has answered prayers, strengthened my faith, assured me He will never fail me. His love for me is so great that one time He carried me in His arms to the operating room. What more could I ask than fellowship with such an awesome God. He is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. How I love Him!
